Mission
The Interdisciplinary Committee on Justice Matters (ICJM), is composed of faculty across the district. As the committee title suggests, we seek to better understand the role of policy and practice in our communities from sociological, criminological, criminal justice, political and historical perspectives and how the intersection of these perspectives affect society as a whole. We educate & encourage civil discussion by bringing awareness to the community through events such as documentaries, panel discussions and guest speakers.

Past events have covered a variety of topics, to include: restorative justice, wrongful convictions, police use of force, police-community relations, the effects of incarceration on the reintegration into society, and a variety of other criminal justice related matters.
